PennDOT says that tomorrow (6/12), milling work gets underway on 6th and 7th Avenues in Altoona.
 
The work will begin between 11th Street and 17th Street. The west bound lanes of 17th Street will also be milled between 5th and 6th Avenues. Once milling is finished the contractor will begin paving work.
 
All work will take place between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. and will be completed by June 20.
 
Motorist who travel in this area may wish to seek alternate routes as delays are likely.
