The Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development will hold an informational session this evening at which the Act 47 recovery plan process will be explained.
 
The meeting is open to the public and residents of Altoona will be able to direct questions to the city’s appointed ACT 47 coordinator. This will also mark the first time City council members will be meeting the coordinator.
 
The coordinator is responsible for reviewing all aspects of city government and then making recommendations to get Altoona fiscally solvent again.
 
Tonight’s meeting gets underway at 7:00 at the city council chambers on Washington Avenue.
