Altoona Curve rising star Gerrit Cole was back on the mound yesterday after leaving the game Tuesday night after being stuck by a pair of line drives.
A curve spokesperson says Cole suffered no broken bones and did not have a concussion following the incident. The star did suffer a contusion to his jaw.
The first incident happened after a batter hit a shot that bounced off Cole’s glove and struck him in the face. Two batters later another line drive hit Cole, who stayed in the game and struck out the next hitter to end the inning. He was then taken to the hospital.
Cole was the number one pick in the 2011 Major League Baseball draft.

I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation).
Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
