City Woman Charged With Stealing From Credit Union
An Altoona woman is facing charges after allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from a local credit union.
Police say that 53 year old Linda Holland of 1910 Hudson Avenue embezzled over $61,000 from the Your Choice Federal Credit Union, 109 Keystone Street, Altoona, from June of 2008 to April of last year.
Holland was employed as a credit manager when the thefts occurred.
An audit showed that Holland took cash from her drawer 58 times over the three-year period and falsified records to account for the missing money. In all but one case no receipts or vouchers were provided by Holland.
The amounts taken ranged from $33 to over $4,000.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for July 5th.
I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation).
Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
