PA Taxpayers Paying More For Lawmakers’ Benefits
Pennsylvania taxpayers are facing higher payouts for prescription and dental benefits for House and Senate lawmakers.
These same legislators are in line for a salary increase in December.
The recently approved Pennsylvania budget includes $1.7 million, mostly for prescription and dental benefits with $1.4 million going to the House’s 203 members and $300,000 to the state Senate’s 50 members.
When you add on the possible cost-of-living increase, House and Senate members’ annual compensation, including salary and benefits, could increase by at least $6,000 per member.
I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation).
Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
