Blair Sets July 16th Deadline for Bids on Vacant Lot
The Blair County Commissioners have set a July 16th deadline to accept bids for a vacant lot in downtown Altoona.
County leaders decided two weeks ago to sell the parcel that was once the site of the Eagle’s building. The county paid nearly $300,000 to demolish the structure after it fell into disrepair while in their tax repository.
Commissioner Terry Tomassetti says there are multiple parties interested in the property.
The commissioners say they won’t come anywhere close to recovering the money they lost on the demolition of the building. But Tomassetti says the move will at least put the property back on the official tax rolls.

I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation).
Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
