PSP: Childers Drunk, On Meth in Crash that Killed Boy
State Police say a Bedford man was high on drugs and speeding when he caused an April 29th crash that killed a 5-year-old Maryland boy.
23-year-old Cory Childers was charged Thursday with homicide by vehicle and several felony-related charges.
The accident killed Julyen Winters, who was thrown from a minivan. His parents and a brother were also injured in the crash.
According to a police affidavit, Childers blood-alcohol content was between .186 and .222 after the crash. Troopers also say he had morphine in his system – and was driving at 90 miles-per-hour.
The Bedford County District Attorney’s Office says Childers will be fully prosecuted for the accident. He faces a significant jail sentence if convicted.
I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation).
Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
