A dramatic structure fire early today in Altoona sent emergency crews into action.
City fire officials say that they around 4:30 this morning they responded to the fire at 218 to 220 Lloyd Street. Assistant Chief Steve Michelone tells WRTA News what it looked like when crews arrived on scene.
Michelone says there were initial reports of entrapment at the scene.
The fire was brought under control by 6:05 this morning.
218-220 Lloyd Street sustained significant damage resulting in five families being left homeless. 214 Lloyd Street sustained fire exposure damage to the front porch area.
