Jury Convicts Lardieri on Perjury, False Swearing Charges
An Altoona man has been convicted of perjury and making false statements to police investigators.
But the same Blair County jury also acquitted Herman “Bo” Lardieri on indecent assault charges after just a few hours of deliberations on Thursday. Lardieri is the man at the center of a bar brawl that happened Memorial Day weekend at Pelligrine’s Lounge in Altoona. The incident cost four Altoona Police officers their jobs.
Lardieri had been accused of putting his hand up the skirt of one of the officer’s wives. Lardieri was later beaten in the bathroom of the lounge. He was charged with perjury and making false statements after a grand jury reviewing the case determined he wasn’t being truthful.
Two of the officers are currently awaiting trial on charges that they assaulted Lardieri and another man in a bathroom. Lardieri will be sentenced at a later date.
I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation).
Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
