PSP: Logan Man Had Marijuana Growing Operation in Closet

A Logan Township man is facing drug charges after state police say they uncovered five marijuana plants growing inside his Logan Township home.

Troopers made the discovery while searching the home of Douglas Zimmerman at 285 Elizabeth Road around 5:00PM Saturday night. Zimmerman had been taken into custody and was being questioned in connection with a seperate burglary investigation in Cambria County.

Investigators say it was during questioning that Zimmerman allegedly admitted he had a stolen item from the burglary – and the illegal marijuana plants. Troopers searched the house and found the plants growing in a closet with lamps and fans.

Charges in both cases are still pending.
