An Altoona-based civic group wants to build a trail for cross country runners at Valley View Park.
 
Organizers of the project discussed their idea with the Blair County Commissioners on Tuesday. George Bell of the Nehemiah Track Club says the group would rehabilitate eight-tenths of a mile of existing walk trails to accommodate the runners.  
 

 
The board could make a decision on Bell’s request as early as next week.
