Blair County leaders say their property tax collections for 2012 are lagging behind previous years. Commissioner Terry Tomassetti says while specific numbers aren’t available yet, it’s a direct result of the economy.
County officials are hopeful to collect more of their outstanding taxes heading into the fall judicial sale, which will happen at the end of September. Tomassetti says the county will be able to get by even with a reduction in revenue.
