Small Corrections Made to Penn State Report

The blistering report about Penn State's handling of the Jerry Sandusky sex abuse scandal contained seven errors that have been corrected by the company hired to investigate the school.

None of the changes made to the report compiled by a team led by former FBI director Louis Freeh altered its central findings, which accuse school officials of covering up the abuse to avoid bad publicity.

The corrections to the report released two weeks ago include date changes to section headers and details of a person's employment with a children's charity founded by Sandusky. They also change attribution for comments about a campus police investigation of Sandusky in 1998 and fix a spelling error.

Sandusky awaits sentencing after being convicted of 45 criminal counts of child sexual abuse.
