Meteorologists have confirmed a tornado touched down in northern Pennsylvania during powerful storms that knocked out power to thousands across the state last week.
The National Weather Service says a twister with winds of 80 miles-per-hour touched down Thursday afternoon near Coudersport, Potter County. The storm killed a Potter County woman who was struck by a tree.
First Energy Corporation said the storm knocked-out power to tens of thousands of customers in western and northern Pennsylvania. The high winds tore the roof off a volunteer fire hall in Butler County.
In Cambria County, WJAC-TV in Johnstown had its Thursday evening newscast knocked off the air by lightning.
I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation).
Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
