A man has pleaded guilty to charges in connection with rioting on the streets of State College following the dismissal of the late Penn State coach Joe Paterno.
45-year-old Patrick McLaughlin of Albrightsville pleaded guilty this week to misdemeanor counts of failure to disperse and disorderly conduct Tuesday as he was scheduled to stand trial in Centre County.
The plea came after a judge ruled that a November photo and video of him would be admissible, and public defender Deborah Lux said that probably factored into her client's decision. Prosecutors say McLaughlin set a fire and they will seek jail time when he is sentenced September 11th.
Lux said she will ask for his sentence to be the six days he spent in county jail.

Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
