Man Dies in Freedom Township Crash



One man died in a two-vehicle crash late Monday morning in Blair County.
 
The accident happened around 11:45AM along Cream Hollow Road in Freedom Township. Police say 31-year-old Michael Ponder was traveling northbound when his vehicle crossed the center line and crashed into an SUV. Ponder’s car then struck a telephone pole.
 
Ponder was pronounced dead at the scene. A 17-year-old passenger in his vehicle was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. Police say the accident still remains under investigation.
