Council Praises Fire Chief, Accepts His Retirement Request
Altoona City Council on Wednesday accepted the retirement request of longtime fire chief Renny Santone.
Mayor Bill Schirf says Santone’s contributions to the city have been numerous. Schirf says Santone leaves the department in great shape.
Council credits Santone with operating a well-trained department which responds quickly to incidents. His last day on the job is August 20th. Mayor Schirf says it will be up to City Manager Joe Weakland to appoint Santone’s replacement.
I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation).
Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
