You can help fill the shelves at the Altoona Food Bank this weekend.
 
Organizers will be hosting a collection effort tomorrow outside of Sam’s Club in Allegheny Township. The event gets underway at 10:00AM. Several Altoona Curve players will be on hand to sign autographs.
 
Officials say their shelves often run empty in the summer because it’s outside of the peak time for giving. Any and all non-perishable food items will be accepted.
