Penn State’s Board or Trustees will have a lot on their schedule this weekend when they gather in State College for a series of meetings.
A search for the next president of Penn State, taking action on the Louis Freeh report and the NCAA consent decree are just a few of the items that board members will deal with at this weekend’s retreat.
Many of Saturday and Sunday’s meetings will be open to the public. A university spokesperson says the trustees will first examine the 119 recommendations in the Freeh report and act if necessary. Much of the discussion will focus on background checks for employees and security-related issues.
The board will then begin discussions about who will succeed President Rodney Erickson. His contract with the school runs through June 2014. The retreat gets underway Saturday at the Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel.
I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation).
Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
