Senior linebacker Michael Mauti was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week after racking up 12 tackles in the Navy game, one of which was a 26 yard sack. It's the second time in Mauti's career that he has been named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week.
Defensive end Deion Barnes was named the co-Freshman of the Week with Indiana quarterback Nate Sudfeld.
Against Navy, Barnes recording five tackles including a sack, and he forced a fumble that was recovered by Penn State.
