The search for a new superintendent to head up the Altoona Area School District has taken the next step in the process.
 
At Monday’s Altoona Area School Board meeting the Pennsylvania School Board Association contract for a new superintendent search was signed.
 
The process will include statewide and national advertising.
 
Dr Dennis Murray announced last month that he was stepping down from his superintendent position at the end of the current school year after 28 years.
