POWs, MIAs Remembered

Today is National POW/MIA Recognition Day.

Locally a special ceremony will be held at the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center this afternoon.

The public is invited to the event that takes place at 1:00.

National POW/MIA Recognition Day is observed on the third Friday of September each year. It’s a time to remember those who were prisoners of war and those who are missing in action, as well as their families.
