Ebensburg Borough Council is searching for a tenant or buyer for the old county prison.
 
The former Cambria County prison, built in the 1870s, has been empty for 15 years and councilors are hopeful that the historic building can be saved.
 
Officials say around $250,000 in grant assistance should be available for potential buyers along with historic tax credits.
 
The prison is on the list of national historic places.
