National Prescription Drug Take Back Day Set For Saturday



The Pennsylvania State Police will accept unwanted, expired and unused prescription drugs on Saturday as part of National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, sponsored by the federal Drug Enforcement Agency.

McGarvey says prescription drugs in the home can lead to break-ins and burglaries.
 
The Altoona Police Department will be at Walgreens Pharmacy on East Plank Road and Martins Pharmacy on East Chestnut Avenue. The State Police will be collecting at, their office on North Juniata Street Hollidaysburg. There will also be one held by The Office of Attorney General Bureau of Narcotics at Friendship Fire Co of Roaring Spring on East Main Street, Roaring Spring.
