Claysburg Home Burns Sunday Evening

A weekend fire damaged a Greenfield Township home.

Firefighters from five companies responded to the blaze at 706 Ski Gap Road around 5:40 Sunday evening.

It’s not known at this time if the house is a total loss.

No official word yet on what caused the fire but it may have started with a turkey fryer outside the home.

The Red Cross is helping the family displaced by the fire with living arrangements, clothes and food.

No one was hurt in the fire.
