Penn State continues grabbing up Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week awards.
The most recent player to be named is Senior linebacker Gerald Hodges for his efforts in Saturday’s game against Northwestern.
Hodges led the Nittany Lions with 11.5 tackles, including 1.5 for losses. His play helped Penn State hold previously-undefeated Northwestern to a season-low 247 yards.
This is the third time a Penn State player has earned the award this season. Senior linebacker Michael Mauti was honored for his play against Navy and Illinois.
Hodges has won the award three times in his career.
