Public Meeting On Act 47 Tonight



A public meeting on ACT 47 will be held this evening in Altoona.
 
This non-mandated meeting has been scheduled for the purpose of hearing comments from city residents concerning the recovery plan for the distressed city.
 
The Act 47 Coordinator, Attorney John Espenshade of Stevens & Lee will be on hand to hear comments from city residents.
 
The city is facing a $1.5 million to $2-million deficit as it looks to come up with a budget for 2013.
 
This evening’s meeting will be held in the auditorium of the Devorris Downtown Center in Altoona.
