Sandusky Sentenced To 30-60 Years

Former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky learned this morning that he will be spending 30 to 60 years in state prison for the sex crimes he was convicted on earlier this year.

In handing down the virtual life sentence Judge John Cleland told Sandusky the crimes he committed were not against strangers but against children he betrayed and assaulted their psyche as well as their bodies. Three men known as Victims 4, 5 and 6 addressed the court this morning.

The 68 year old Sandusky, who was convicted in June on 45 of 48 counts of child sex abuse, was unapologetic as he addressed the court with a rambling statement that included denials that he had done what he was convicted of.

Sandusky’s defense team will now begin an appeals process.
