AMTRAN held a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday afternoon.
Three new American made diesel-electric hybrid buses are being placed into service and will replace three outdated buses.
The buses are also expected to save AMTRAN significant fuel costs, reduce emissions and provide additional passenger safety.
All of AMTRAN’s Smart Bus technology will be implemented on the new buses and provides drivers and passengers with real-time bus stop information.
One of the new buses has also been painted blue and white and showcases a Nittany Lion paw print to honor AMTRAN's long time partnership and commitment with Penn State Altoona.

I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation).
Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
