Logan Township officials unveiled a new emergency vehicle last night at their board of Supervisors meeting.
The armored truck, a LENCO Bearcat, can detect gas, biological and nuclear weapons, and can stop 50 caliber machine gun fires. It was purchased with grant money from the Department of Homeland Security.
Logan Township will make the vehicle available to all the members of the "South Central Mountain Region Task Force" which includes Blair, Centre, Bedford, Fulton, and Huntingdon counties among others.
