Attorneys have filed an appeal in connection with the Jerry Sandusky sex abuse scandal.
Sandusky’s attorneys filed a 31-page appeal on Thursday in
Pennsylvania’s Centre County Court citing the need for a new trial due to the prosecutions lack of evidence, numerous statute of limitations violations, a lack of time for defense attorneys to prepare for the case and the fact that Sandusky’s constitutional rights to due process were violated.
Earlier this month the 68-year-old former Penn State University assistant football coach was sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison after being convicted of molesting 10 boys over a 15-year period of time in June.
