A Bedford County Judge on Tuesday sentenced Mark Shirey to life in prison for murder.
The 45 year old Shirey shot and killed Michael Simpson in March of last year. Simpson’s death was the result of years of conflict between the two men over Shirey's ex-wife.
Shirey committed the murder at Simpson’s Cumberland Valley Township Centerville home using a 12-gauge shotgun and a .22-caliber pistol.
A guilty plea earned Shirey the life sentence instead of execution.
