A couple of Blair County water projects are set to receive funding.
As part of an effort to protect state water resources, the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority agreed Tuesday to provide a grant of over $1.5 million for the Williamsburg Municipal Water Authority and also back an $11 million loan to upgrade the water treatment plant and install six miles of new sewer lines.
The PENNVEST Board also approved $700 thousand in low interest loans for water improvement efforts at Mill Hill Farms in Williamsburg to build a new system for storing and disposing animal waste while protecting ground water supplies.
