Caretaker Facing Involuntary Manslaughter Charges

State Police at Huntingdon are investigating the details surrounding a recent death.

Police say 70-year-old Sally Jean Fultz was discovered deceased in a creek after reportedly walking away from the Sleepy Hollow Personal Care Center on Hotel Road this week.

Fultz, who allegedly suffered from dementia and was blind, was discovered by a neighbor in a creek located 100 yards away from the facility on Wednesday.

Police say 62-year-old Connie Ann Souders was arraigned on charges of neglect of care of a dependent person and involuntary manslaughter on Wednesday and is being held at the Huntingdon County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.

An autopsy is to be performed on Fultz to determine the exact cause of death.

A preliminary hearing for Souders has been set next Tuesday.
