HASD Receives Grant For Physics Project

At this week's Hollidaysburg Area School Board Directors meeting the school received a grant from the Dominion Educational Partnership.

High School physics teacher Paul Longwell tells WRTA News that the money will help students learn about aerodynamics and wind energy.

The $5,000 grant will cover the construction of a wind tunnel, and other materials needed.

Longwell says that he and the students are excited about the project.

In the area of K-12 education, Dominion accepts grant applications, up to $10,000, to encourage the development of new programs to strengthen math and science education through the study of energy or the environment.
