Two Altoona men were arrested over the weekend in connection with a pair of pharmacy burglaries.
Police say that an alert neighbor tipped them off about something suspicious going on around 4:15 Saturday morning at a business located at 401 Maple Avenue.
As a result, 30 year old Matthew Mickey and 33 Joseph Weakland were arrested for attempting to burglarize Dick’s Pharmacy.
Further investigation revealed that Weakland and Mickey were responsible for a Burglary that occurred earlier that morning at around 2:44 at The Medicine Shoppe, 2411 8th Avenue. Police say entry was gained at the business through a smashed window.
Charges against Mickey include Criminal Conspiracy-Burglary, Criminal Attempt-Burglary, Burglary, and Receiving Stolen Property.
Among the charges against Weakland, Criminal Conspiracy-Burglary, Receiving Stolen Property, and Criminal Mischief.
