The City of Altoona has posted emergency operation information on its website Altoonapa.gov
 
A couple things city officials are urging residents to do are keep cell phones charged, and in the event of power outages, report any problems to Penelec right away.
 
City residents are also reminded that they can get emergency updates now and throughout the storm by e mail and text by going to www.altoonapa.gov and registering for alerts. Look for public safety/community alerts registration in the left column on the front page of the city’s web site.
