Absentee Ballot Application Extension Announced

Governor Tom Corbett is aiming to ensure that recent power outages don't interfere with next week's elections.

Corbett says he hopes to have a report complete sometime this week outlining whether or not power companies can assure that all of the state polling locations will have power available to run electronic voting machines.

On similar note, the deadline for county election offices to receive applications for absentee ballots is being extended due to Hurricane Sandy.

The deadline is being extended on a county-by-county basis depending on whether the county courthouse was closed for business this week.

Again, the deadline is being extended one day for each day a voter's county courthouse is closed this week but no later than Friday evening November 2nd at 5 pm.

I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation). Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
