Pirates Make Curve Managerial Change

P.J. Forbes will not return for a third season as the Altoona Curve manager.

The Pirates offered Forbes another position in the organization but were turned down.

Whoever takes over for Forbes will be the team’s seventh manager.

The Curve had a record of 72-70 in 2012.

Forbes led the team to a record of 136 wins and 147 during his two seasons in Altoona.

Only two Curve managers have lasted three years.  There were Dale Sveum and Tim Leiper.
