Jerry Sandusky has been transferred to State Correctional Institution in Greene County.
 
Officials with the State Department of Corrections say the 68-year-old former Penn State assistant football coach will serve his 30 to 60 year sentence for child molestation at the facility and will reportedly be placed in protective custody due to the nature of his crimes.
 
Officials say Sandusky will be housed in a single cell, be offered one hour of exercise each day and showers three times a week.
 
The prison is home to many of the state’s death row inmates.
 
Sandusky is continuing to maintain his innocence and is already appealing his conviction.
