County Residents Urged to Prepare for Property Tax Hike
Property taxes may soon be going up in Blair County.
Blair County Commissioners received their first glimpse of the 2013 general fund budget Tuesday, which calls for an almost $2 million dollar increase in spending.
Commissioners believe the only way to balance the budget may be to increase property taxes.
According to figures outlined by the Blair County Assessment Office the proposed 3.5 mill increase would translate to around a $45 to $60 dollar property tax increase on a home valued at about $100,000.
The proposed $67 million dollar budget is available for public viewing at the Courthouse in Hollidaysburg for the next few weeks.

I would've just posted this on Facebook, but Facebook doesn't allow you to post GIFs (like this little animation).
Maybe the $1.1 BILLION price tag isn't so crazy?
