ACT 47 Plan Being Studied

After this week’s release of the Act 47 Recovery plan for Altoona, Councilman Dave Butterbaugh told WRTA News that he thought it could have been worse.

Butterbaugh says now it’s just a matter of delving into the proposal and studying it carefully to see if any edits need to be made.

One of the suggestions in the plan deals with accelerating the city’s LED lighting program which was started a few years ago.  Councilman Butterbaugh says that thousands of dollars could be saved in just that one area.

A public hearing to answer questions and tale suggestions concerning the ACT 47 plan is scheduled for November 28 at the Penn State Downtown Devorris Center.
