Police Urge Shoppers to Take Precautions

Police Departments in Blair County are warning shoppers that the start of the holiday shopping season also means additional opportunities for parking lot crime.

Logan Township Police are on patrol around the clock and are urging shoppers to make sure they do not become a victim of a pre-holiday theft.

Experts say the best thing you can do to keep yourself safe is to keep your packages out of sight.

Police say the use of locks and trunks can go a long way toward protecting those holiday purchases and say shoppers should also always be aware of their surroundings and be cautious of never leaving their wallet or purse unattended in a shopping cart or in the parking lot.
