Last Week for Logan Township Fall Leaf & Brush Collection
This is the final week of leaf and brush collection in Logan Township.
The collection of bagged leaves and plant material, piled tree and brush trimmings, and branches up to 3” in diameter, 6’ in length, will end on Friday in the township.
Residents may Rake leaves to the edge of their property (along the public road) to be picked up by the Township’s Leaf Vacuum and Collector, or you can put leaves in paper bags and place them out for pick up.
Any paper bag may be used. Large paper yard bags are available for purchase at local stores. Bags over 50lbs. will not be collected. do not use tape to seal the bag.
Residents are reminded that leaves, brush, or yard waste that may have been treated with the herbicide Imprelis should not be put curbside for collection.
Brush should be less than six feet in length and less than three inches in diameter.
Pile brush & limbs together. Small twigs can be bagged – separate from the leaves.
The collection crews cannot collect whole cut trees.
The Blair County Compost Facility will accept yard waste
during hours of operation. All drop off fees apply. Call the Blair County Department of Solid Waste at 696-4260 for fees.
Do not mix brush and leaves together. Different equipment is used to collect each one.
