Industry representatives attending Pennsylvania Manufacturers Association breakfast event in New York City where the governor was speaking let it be known they want to see a comprehensive transportation plan signed into law in early spring of next year
Speaking to reporters after the event, Corbett said he has a transportation-funding plan "ready to go" but declined to disclose specifics. He did however point out that a state law passed last year allowing for public-private partnerships to pay for infrastructure projects and the recent federal highway bill has given Pennsylvania several helpful funding tools.
Corbett’s speech also reaffirmed his commitment to privatizing the state's liquor stores and resolving the pension-funding crisis.
