A Blair County man is set to appear in court tomorrow in connection with an assault case last week.
Police say 39-year-old Joseph Emel is accused of holding a knife to his 38-year-old girlfriend's throat during a fight at a home on Blair Avenue and East 12th Street In Tyrone.
The woman was able to escape and call 9-1-1 and Emel was arrested without incident.
He’s facing various charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
