Blair Commissioners Release Valley View Proposal

Blair County Commissioners on Thursday voted 2-1 to send out a Request for Proposals from interested bidders for Valley View Home.

Commissioner Ted Beam cast the vote against the idea citing the negative response to the proposed sale by county residents.

The RFP has a February 1 response deadline.

Anyone interested in buying Valley View will be required to explain what kind of commitment they are willing to make to the current operations of the home and their experience with nursing care facilities.

Only base bids of over $11 million will be considered.
