UPDATE: Triple Homicide In Frankstown

Several sources have identified the victims in yesterday’s triple homicide in Frankstown Township as Kimberly Scott, William Rhodes and Kenneth Lynn.

Scott was the first victim to be fatally shot by 44 year old Jeffrey Lee Michael of Hollidaysburg as she was decorating the inside of the Juniata Valley Gospel Church.

After shooting Scott, Michael went to a nearby house and shot Rhodes. After leaving that scene Michael drove away on Juniata Valley Road and crashed into a vehicle driven by Lynn who became shooting victim number three.

Michael then opened fire at approaching State Police vehicles. One trooper was injured when bullet fragments and glass struck him in the face.  Another trooper was shot in the chest but was saved by a bulletproof vest. A third trooper was injured when he crashed into Michael's truck. Michael then got out of his pickup and continued to shoot at the troopers who returned fire killing him.  The troopers were treated and released from the hospital.

Authorities are investigating five separate crimes scenes spanning several miles along Juniata Valley Road.

No motive has been established at this point.

There will be a prayer service and vigil for the victims tonight at 7:00 at the Geeseytown Lutheran Church, Route 22 and Juniata Valley Road.
