The first big snow event of the winter season has been a doozie.
 
Travel is still a little dicey across the region.  Many side streets in Altoona still have not been plowed early this morning.
 
The snowfall forced officials to post 45 mph restrictions on Interstate 99 and significant sections of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
 
Another round of snow is possible late Friday night and Saturday.
