Blair County Common Pleas Court Judge Elizabeth Doyle has announced that she will seek retention later this year.
Doyle, marking her 10th year as a county judge, will have her name on the November ballot.
There will be two decisions to be made by Blair County voters in the fall. Along with a yes or no vote on Doyle’s retention, voters will be asked to vote on a replacement for Judge Hiram Carpenter who will be stepping down next week and is expected to become a senior judge.
In the coming weeks we should be hearing from candidates looking to fill Carpenter's vacant seat. Those individuals will be required to go through the entire process, which includes the primary in May followed by the general election in November.
